Wow! Back in May I attended Camp Stitchalot hosted by Brenda at Pink Castle Fabrics. Unfortunately, I was not able to show you all of my pretty photos because of computer issues - but I am up and running now!
Camp Stitchalot was an amazing weekend where I had the opportunity to sew my own projects, but still take three short classes where I learned new skills and was able to walk away with fun completed projects :)
I packed a LOT for camp - but most of it was fabric. Did you expect anything else from me?
We packed the room full of sewing machines, irons, cutting stations, and fabric. Good things were definitely happening in every nook and cranny of this room.
I had a lot of fun with all of the projects. I learned to make this clasp pouch from Katy Jones - something I never knew how to do before.
The rooms where we slept were all thoroughly decorated in quilts and fabric! The room I shared with a new friend, Cheryl was full of blue florals. Not something I could live in everyday!
I finished my Washi Dress at camp, and even got this great photo with Rae - the pattern designer!
Here I am with the counselors: Rae, Katy, Melody and Rashida. Thanks for an awesome weekend ladies!
Here is a photo of all of the project I completed at camp! I finished....1 skirt, 1 Washi Dress, 1 Staple Dress, 1 Infinity Scarf, 1 Lickety Split bag, 1 metal clasp pouch, 2 Wiksten tanks, 1 Swoon block, and 6 Pillowcases. It really was a weekend full of sewing and friends!
If you ever have the opportunity to attend a quilting retreat (especially Camp Stitchalot) do not let the opportunity pass you by! This was an amazing experience and an experience I will not forget anytime soon.
so fun! I'd love to go one of these days...maybe next spring?
ReplyDeleteIt's really fun to read about this and see all the photos. It doesn't matter whether it was last week or a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteWow! I knew that you were going to have fun and learn lots of new stuff, but to be so productive to boot! Double wow!
ReplyDeleteThat pouch is so cute!!! Do I recognize that fabric from your strip set?
