My name is Anna and I am an owl-obsessed graduate student at the University of Maryland. I have a graduate assistantship in Student Affairs and am studying Higher Education Administration. I love working with students, but need time to myself - which is why I quilt!
I am the "house mom" for an amazing group of men. Here is a picture of the chapter - though only 30 live in the house with me.
I started quilting in summer 2011 and haven't been able to stop ever since. Prior to 2011, I had made rag quilts, but never "real" patchwork quilts. I originally learned to sew in 7th grade home economics class, but was re-introduced to the sewing machine in college by my friend Kelly. Here is a photo of my first quilt - an owl rag quilt using a Simplicity pattern from Joanns.
I sew on my Janome Memory Craft 6500. I named my machine Jane and I absolutely love her!
