A Super Exciting Trip

I am so so so super excited about my upcoming trip!!! I apologize in advance to my parents if they are reading this (hi mom and dad!) because they have already heard about my excitement for the past week - literally this is all I have talked about with them. And honestly, I think I have called them more this past week than I have any other week since I moved here. I just can't contain my excitement!

I have had a change of plans since the other day when I first announced my trip. I will now be traveling four hours to Stroudsburg, PA to shop and play at Pocono Sew & Vac. I know four hours seems like a really long journey just to test drive (and hopefully purchase) a sewing machine....but they stock eight different brands!! That's right...eight! I am going to have the opportunity to learn about machines made by Janome, Brother, Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, Babylock, Singer, Bernina, and Juki. WOW!! I am really happy that I can go to one location to play with so many different brands. It makes me feel good to know that they will be able to answer many questions I have, and I don't have to worry about them trying to sell me on a particular brand (because it feels like they sell them all).

Have I mentioned yet that I am excited? Well...I am!!! I am trying to focus on school work but it is so hard because all I want to do is browse the Pocono Sew & Vac website.

Wish me luck on my trip!! I will be test driving machines tomorrow and may have a big announcement to share with you soon! :) YIPPEE!!

I feel a tribute to my current machine is in order. This machine has been through a lot...it belonged to my grandmother, my mother, and now me. My Viking 190 is a good machine for small project, even though the tension is crummy. I am sure I will still use this machine for when I travel and I hope that I can convince a friend or two (or maybe a mother) to let me teach them on this one. ;)

I really need to start taking pictures during the day...and start using a real camera because these iPhone photos leave much to be desired.

p.s. I'M EXCITED!!!!!!

p.p.s I'M REALLLLYYY EXCITED!!!
